Weather forecasters warn about avalanche hazard in the Carpathians

This is the third level of danger.

Today, March 9, significant avalanche hazard remains in the mountains of Transcarpathian and Lviv regions. This is reported by the press center of the State Emergencies Service.

"According to weather center, on March 11, a significant avalanche hazard (level 3) remains in the mountains of Ivano-Frankivsk, Transcarpathian and Lviv regions," – the report states. Snow cover on most steep slopes is moderately stable or unstable. Avalanches may occur due to low additional loads. There may be some natural medium and large avalanches. Partially unfavorable conditions.

Recall: Yesterday on the Dragobrat, because of bad weather, rescuers temporarily closed ski slopes.
