Students of UzhNU are looking for all possible ways to help Transcarpathian soldiers in the combat zone in eastern Ukraine. In particular, every Wednesday, they arrange movie screenings in the reading room on the second floor of the dormitory number 4. The price of admission is symbolic – 10 UAH. For two screenings, they raised a little – about 150 hryvnia. But every little helps…
The campaign was initiated by a student of the journalism department Vasyl Tretiak. The young man had long pondered how he could help effectively and creatively. The idea of movie screenings seemed the most viable, as there are facilities for this, as well as the demand for movies among students. Vasyl is convinced: "Students spend much more money on tickets to the cinema. We offer good movies for much less. About 1,500 people live in the dormitory, and I’m sure that among them there are those who want to help the army." So these evenings will be pleasant for students and helpful for soldiers, the organizer hopes.
By voting through social networks, viewers themselves choose which movie they would like to see. They have already watched the movies "The Adventures of Paddington" and "Night at the Museum. Secrets of the Tomb." This Wednesday (March 18), it will be the hyped "50 Shades of Gray."
The beginning of the screening is at 18.00. Do not miss!
