Vyacheslav Kharchenko: about the Revolution of Dignity, war and lustration

In Uzhgorod Press Club, there was a press conference of Vyacheslav Kharchenko, chairman of the Lustration Commission in Transcarpathian region who volunteered to defend Ukraine against the aggressor and is serving in the 15th Battalion of the 128th Brigade.

Vyacheslav Kharchenko, who came to Uzhgorod for a short vacation, met with the reporters and told how he sees the relationship between the Revolution of Dignity and what is happening in the East.

"These days mark the anniversary of the Revolution of Dignity that started this whole process that is now taking place in the East. We are standing now in the East for the demand of Maidan – European vector of development of the country, corruption free and independent Ukraine. I was on the Maidan, I saw the gathering of 1 million people. Now at the front, there are much less people – about 120 thousand", – Vyacheslav Kharchenko said.

The soldier also told about the situation in the East. Having signed a contract in July, Vyacheslav Kharchenko spent 4 months at the Butivka mine, where there were fierce battles, they were 50-150 meters from the enemy. "On September 1, we were ordered not to open fire in return, because of a truce. At that time, we were at the Butivka mine, there was not a single day without fire. It is a theater of absurd, leaders say one thing, do another", – Vyacheslav Kharchenko said.

Vyacheslav Kharchenko said that after military service he would continue fighting against the corrupt government.
