Vyacheslav Grozny: “Why do we have to play football in February?”

The head coach of "Goverly" Vyacheslav Grozny once again criticized the calendar of the Championship of Ukraine.

"I left a copy of the appeal with the Premier League, spoke to the media. Quater-final rmatches of the Cup of Ukraine must be held first, and then – 15th and 16th rounds of the championship, not vice versa.

It is the wrong decision, it should be abolished. The interests of all teams must be considered. I think this is a hasty decision taken without regard to reality. Why do we have to play football in February? What for?

The Premier League must protect interests of clubs. Why do they not protect interests of the six clubs that do not play in European competition. Fields are not going to be ready, fans are not going to come to watch football in winter! At least, we could have worked during this time in Turkey.

There is no World Cup, no European Cup. Why do we have to resume the championship in February, and finish it in May? The 15th round should begin in mid-March. I understand that maybe some of the functionaries wants to go on vacation in June, but they should not do that. The championship matches should be held in June," – Grozny said.
