Volunteers once again will clean up the old Uzhgorod cemetery

On April 25, as part of the nationwide campaign "Let’s make Ukraine clean together", there was the clean-up of Uzhgorod cemetery on Kapushanska street near the "Bilochka" market.

Then, seminarians and parishioners of the local church collected almost a trailerful of garbage and cleared half of the old cemetery.  

Recently, the community restored the fence around the cemetery. City officials decided to allow open access to the cemetery in the daytime (from 7.00 to 21.00). At night, the cemetery will be closed from vandals.

On Monday, July 6, at 10.00, the clean-up of the second half of the cemetery will begin. The Public Movement "Clean Uzhgorod" and Mukachevo Greek Catholic diocese urges all active citizens to join the noble campaign to honor our memory and improve our environment.
