Volunteer animal advocate told students about the activities of the “Barbos”

On February 6, 2017, there was the meeting of students of Uzhgorod Trade and Economic College with a volunteer of the NGO "Uzhgorod Society for the Protection of Stray Animals "Batbos" Natalia Danilchenko.

Students were told about the causes of animal homelessness. Most animals, that end up on the streets, were abandoned by their owners. Such treatment of animals by man in this case indicates an extremely low level of culture. Students were told that sterilization is the most humane method of regulating the number of animals and solution of the problem. 

Mr. Natalia told about the shelter. It functions thanks to enthusiastic volunteers and concerned Uzhgorod residents, that spend their money, efforts and time to solve this urgent social problem.

Young people were invited to participate in charitable activities. For there are different ways to help. You can provide financial assistance to the shelter, help with work (clean, care for animals, etc.), advise friends, who want to have a pet, not to buy an animal, but to take an "orphan" from the shelter, to sterilize their pets, to share in social networks posts about animals seeking owners.

Students were shown striking photos of the shelter residents. There are many sick and crippled animals there. Also, they watched a video about the activities of the "Barbos."
