“Voices of the country” are singing in Uzhgorod today

Finalists of the first singing TV project "The Voice of the country" – a tandem of Arsen Mirzoyan (Baburka) and Tonya Matvienko – today, May 17, for the first time will sing for Uzhgorod citizens. The singers have been on tour in Ukraine since the beginning of May, in their concert itinerary there are Sumy, Ternopil, Lutsk, Chernivtsi, Lviv, Zaporozhye. They had to cancel one concert in Zhitomir and as a result they got into a big budget "minus."

The concert program will last for an hour and a half. Tonya and Arsen will sing both solo and duet – they have already prepared a few songs, including Ukrainian folk ones. Tonya says, it was Arsen’s idea to go on tour together. "We want to give everyone an opportunity to get to our concerts and hear us live, – said the guy. – Each musician must find strength, time, health and to present their work to people".

Finalists also told about the numerous rumors. After all, Tonya is a daughter of the famous People’s Artist of Ukraine Nina Matvienko, so, as the girl says, some people were often gossiping behind her back at the project, saying that her victory is credited to her mother. "So I was waiting for singing live. My mother wouldn’t help me there. Of course, I was discussed behind my back and felt rivalry". Tonya also is remembering that she grew tired answering the question where she is from. "Well, where could I be from? From France or what? I live in Ukraine, I communicate in Ukrainian. I also defended my native language at the show – I refused to sing in Russian. I don’t mind Russian, but there are so many wonderful songs in Ukrainian!"

There is no affair between them, say the artists. "We don’t have business, but a friendly creative relationship – said Tonya. – In addition, Arsen is married and has two young children".
