Vitaliy Semal became the new Acting Mayor of Uzhgorod

We remind you that today, November 7, members of Uzhgorod City Council passed a motion of no confidence to the former Secretary of the City Coincil Victor Shchadey. Then, the deputies elected Olga Travina as the chairperson of the session, who read the appeal of the group of 34 deputies who announced nomination of Vitaliy Semal for the Secretary of the City Council.

After a secret ballot for the election of a new Secretary of Uzhgorod City Council, the counting commission announced the results.

So, 60 ballots were made, 41 were handed out, all were valid. For – 41 against – 0, abstentions – 0. The motion was carried unanimously. 

So, Uzhgorod has a new Acting Mayor.

Vitaliy Semal thanked Victor Shchadey and spoke to the deputies. He called the deputies to stop speaking in political slogans and to start working for the good of the city.

Deputies voted for work according to the agenda and the session continues. Now, they are voting on the salary of the Secretary of the City Council, performing the duties of the mayor of Uzhgorod.
