Due to currency exchange rate, it has become more difficult for Ukrainians to receive "Schengen" visas.
It’s all because of the unwritten rule of the EU embassies: visa is issued if applicant has an income of 300-400 euros per month in hryvnia equivalent. But while earlier this amount was equal to 3,000-4,000 UAH, now at the new exchange rate it is 9,500-12,500.
According to a representative of one of the tour operators, for now, it is enough to have a salary of 3,500-4,000 UAH. "But you must carry an equivalent of 40-45 euros (Poland, Hungary, the Baltic states), and sometimes – 60-65 euros (Germany, France, Italy). And that is 1,200 to 2,000 UAH per day" – the representative of the company said.
