By a secret ballot, deputies of Uzhgorod City Council passed a motion of no confidence to and dismissed Victor Shchadey from the office of the Secretary of the City Council (and the acting mayor).
50 ballots were made, 39 were handed out. 35 deputies voted for this decision, 1 voted against, 3 ballots were deemed invalid.
Victor Shchadey took the floor, and then left the session hall.
Now deputies do not know who will chair the session, which should be at least closed.
So, Uzhgorod is left without the mayor.
At 12.57, deputies decided that Olga Travina would chair at the meeting.
The issue of electing a new Secretary of the City Council was put on the agenda. 40 deputies voted for it.
