Vasyl Petyovka asks Azarov to abolish second shift in schools

Students of mostly primary school, that study in the second shift, are unable to attend groups and sections, and often at risk when returning from school in the evening when it is dark. For the sake of schoolchildren’s safety, MP Vasyl Petyovka asks the Prime Minister Azarov to abolish second shift in Transcarpathian schools. He has sent the appropriate appeal to the head of the government.

In Transcarpathia currently 64 secondary schools work in two-shift mode. 4,382 students have to attend school in the afternoon time.

Most of the second shift students are primary school pupils who in winter time have to go back home from school almost in darkness.

MP Vasyl Petyovka asks the government leader to take measures in order to completely abolish the second shift in all schools of Transcarpathia by September 1, 2013.
