Today Uzhgorod is celebrating the 1119-anniversary.
As uzhgorod.in previously reported, the celebrations will last four days. Meanwhile, the residents are already being congradulated by one of the mini-sculptures – the famous Uzhgorod Svobodka that got a new outfit and a barrel of grapes on the occasion of the holidays.Svobodka crushes grapes, because it is a symbol of Transcarpathia in general and Uzhgorod in particular.
The barrel was made by the creator of Svobodka, Mykhailo Kolodko, and the hand-embroidered dress was presented by designer Anna Bykovskaya informs ZIK. On the apron, worn by Svobodka, there is the image of the vine – such as on the arms of Uzhgorod.
Uzhgorod.in joins the congradulations and wishes all Uzhgorod citizens more reasons to be proud of their home city.
