Uzhgorod residents installed lamps on Slovynaska embankment by themselves (PHOTOS)

In Uzhgorod, illumination has appeared on Slovyanska embankment and on Govorov street. It was installed by local residents themselves.

"We have appealed to the City Council many times with a request to put lamps on our street. But we were repeatedly denied. Then I thought that residents of the neighborhood should do everything themselves," – Andriy Zhydyk, the author of the initiative says.

According to Andriy, neighbors endorsed the idea, because everyone wants to have light near their houses at night. "We have raised a certain amount, but it was not enough. Then we decided to go to the UDAR part in our city. They agreed to help, and it’s finally finished."
