Quite unexpected posters have recently appeared on the streets of Uzhgorod. Unknown wildlife lovers urge city residents to look closely at their feet so as not to crush snails, bugs, ants and other small living creatures.
The motivation is that these species have existed on Earth much longer than humans.
Journalist Kostyantin Cherkay wrote about it on his page on Facebook adding to the post with a photograph of the ad.
"As a child, I was very surprised to hear that very, very enlightened Buddhists (or something like that) were walking the streets with a broom. They sweep the ground in front of themselves lest they crush some insect or bug. For a child who was exterminating flies and mosquitoes, drowning beetles in kerosene and pouring salt on the snails collected on the garden beds, it was incomprehensible.
And today I saw this on a pole in the Shakhta neighborhood,” – he wrote.
Similar ads have appeared in other areas of the city.
And how do you feel about this initiative by unknown animal lovers?
