"Uzhgorod Regatta" is a fun sport competitions, sailing on the Uzh river on boats of various designs.
The start is at the beach near the Pidzamkovy bridge (right bank).
The finish is behind the Masaryk Bridge, opposite the "Uzhgorod" Hotel (left bank)
Any non-motorized floating crafts – boats, inflatable boats, rafts, etc. – are invited to participate. Home-made designs, original decor and costumes are welcomed.
The number of crew members is not limited, but the "ship" must finish with a full crew.
Following the Regatta, winners in the following categories will be awarded:
"The Flying Dutchman" (the fastest ship)
"Jolly Roger" (the most original ship)
"Black Cuttlefish" (the fastest ship among the homemade ones)
"Noah’s Ark" (the largest crew)
"Uzhgorod Regatta" is not limited to the race. At the finish, various competitions and contests will be conducted.

The first "Uzhgorod Regatta" took place on July 11, 2010. According to the rating of the 2010 tourist season from the Tourinfocenter Transcarpathia, "Uzhgorod Regatta" won in the category "Best Tourist Animation 2010".
Notes:
1. The participants are responsible for their own safety at the Regatta. Look after children, check the reliability of the boats. The Uzh river at this time is very shallow, but safety precautions should be taken.
2. In case of poor weather conditions or the state of the river, the Regatta may be postponed to a later date, which will be announced.
