Uzhgorod received more than UAH 4.5 million subsidy from the state budget for vocational training

As uzhgorod.in announced, on March 24, the meeting of the Regional Council permanent parliamentary commission on budget chaired by Vasyl Koshelya took place, the press service of the Transcarpathian Regional Council informed.  One of the considered issues was the distribution of the stabilization grant from the state budget for 2016 among the budgets of the cities of the regional level for expenditures on vocational training.

As you know, in 2016, the funding of vocational schools was assigned to local budgets. However, funds for this purpose were not provided in budgets of the cities. To regulate these issues, on February 4, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine allocated nearly one billion of subventions to local budgets to support training in vocational and other educational institutions. Transcarpathian region also received a stabilization grant from the state budget for expenditures on vocational training. So, today the commission recommended to increase general fund revenues of the regional budget by UAH 15,506,400 – the stabilization grant. And they distributed this subsidy among the budgets of the cities for vocational training according to the number of pupils in schools.

So the city of Uzhgorod (1271 students) received UAH 4,737,600, the city of Beregovo (360 students) – UAH 1,341,900, the city of Mukachevo (1901 students) – UAH 7,086,000, the city of Khust (628 students) – UAH 2,340,900.

The Department of Finance was recommended to amend the regional budget for 2016 accordingly and to submit the amendments to the Regional Council for consideration.
