Uzhgorod public sector workers will receive nearly 6 million from the regional budget for salaries

Today, December 3, there was a meeting of the Committee on Budget Issues of the Regional Council, which was held by its chairman Vladislav Adam. 

 The meeting was attended by the Chairman of the Regional Council Volodymyr Chubirko and the head of the Regional State Administration Vasyl Hubal.

They discussed the amendments to the regional budget. They are caused by the need to pay salaries to employees of the regional public sector, benefits for children with disabilities, low-income families.

The Director of the Finance Department of the Regional State Administration Petro Lazar reported on this issue and said that the region had received grants, so it is necessary to amend the general fund revenues of the regional budget for 2014.

Deputies also discussed amendments to the amount of the regional budget general fund expenditures, from the state budget to chief administrators of the regional budget funds – the Department of Finance and the Department of Health of the RSA.

It was also proposed to distribute part of the grant from the state budget to local budgets for repayment of the difference in tariffs for thermal energy, water supply and sewerage services in the amount of 855,9000 UAH.

Volodymyr Chubirko stressed that the region helps districts and cities by distributing subsidies from the state budget to local budgets in order to address various issues. Thus, Uzhgorod state employees will receive nearly 6 million for salaries.

Vasyl Hubal said that during the ten months of this year, local budgets were exceeded by almost 50 million. Instead, in Uzhgorod, the budget was underperformed at more than 8 million.
