Yesterday, May 18, in the courtroom of Uzhgorod City Council, there was the founding meeting of the Public Council of the city, created by the initiative of the citizens.
100 members of the Public Council (out of 111 who passed the procedure of entering the body) registered at the meeting, they received yellow voting cards by show of which they were adopting all decisions.
Lawyer Oleksandr Peresolyak became the chairman of the Council. A teacher of UzhNU and an auditor Victoria Slyusarenko became the Secretary of the Public Council. Then, there were nominations for the posts of deputy chairmen. They decided that there should be three of them. However, there were about a dozen candidates.
As a result of direct voting, the ones, who received the most votes (about 60), became the deputies of Oleksander Peresolyak. Oleg Pahulycha, Victor Myhovych and Vasyl Popovych were elected deputy chairmen of the Council
