Uzhgorod National University joined the project “Initiative of Academic Integrity and Quality”

Uzhgorod National University has successfully passed to the finals of the project "Initiative Academic Integrity and Quality" implemented by the American Councils for International Education with the support of the US Embassy in Ukraine, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the National Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education, the Information and Publishing Center of Uzhgorod National University reported. 
The organizers of the project processed application forms from 153 higher education establishments of Ukraine. And on the basis of the high score, UzhNU got the opportunity to take part in the project "Initiative of Academic Integrity and Quality of Education". 
According to the assistant rector, coordinator of the project at Uzhgorod National University Kristina Tovt: "This is the second project of the organization "American Councils for International Education" which Uzhgorod National University has taken part in. For about three years, we have been working on the Academic Integrity Project in Ukraine and forming a new academic culture based on trust, honesty, transparency, real training and real research. In the course of our activity, we have held round tables, meetings, seminars for teachers and students of Uzhgorod National University and formed agents of influence at the faculties. And also in 2017, we acquired software that checks works for plagiarism (Unichek and Strike Plagiarism). Therefore, we are very pleased to be among the best universities and to pass the selection stage of the new project. Trainings for us will start on Monday, we will gain new knowledge and practical skills, which we will implement in the work of UzhNU."
