Recently, from February 28 to March 3, the V International Piano Ensemble Competition took place in the city of Eger. The participants were competing in four categories. Thus, according to the results, pupils of Uzhgorod Children’s Arts School won honorary prizes. The Grand Prix went to Katerina Saray and Samuyil Lenko (teachers Oksana Peleshko and Oksana Horzova) – the only contestants in the IV category among 24 ensembles; Zoryana Hapak and Olga Dyurik (teachers Inga Dyerke and Zhanna Egreshiy) won in the "junior" category, while Daria Kalinina and teacher Olga Hanych were the best in the category "student and teacher".
In total, 100 ensembles from Hungary and Ukraine participated in the competition. Transcarpathia was represented by teams from Uzhgorod, Beregovo and Vynogradiv. The musicians were rated by the jury chaired by the famous Hungarian pianist Janos Balaj.
