On Saturday, April 29, the season of the American Football Premier League of Ukraine opened. The match was hosted by the champions of the season before last – "Lumberjacks" from Uzhgorod. However, once again, they played not at the stadium of the regional center, but in Baranyntsi. By the way, in the village, there is even a small fan club of "Lumberjacks".
The game was fierce, but Uzhgorod team who were without their foreign players marginally lost to the team from Kyiv. The players and many spectators disagree with two referee decisions due to which they lost points. The team say that they may file an appeal and the game will be replayed. The next scheduled game will take place in two weeks, "Lumberjacks" will play an away match. Now, there are only four teams in the Premier League, three of which are from Kyiv, and it is important for our guys to maintain the reputation of Uzhgorod.
