Local activists are already preparing festive program for the 1221st anniversary of Uzhgorod. Representatives of NGOs plan to celebrate the birthday of the regional center without loud fireworks and concerts but attentively listen to creative suggestions.
The Media Center of UzhNU gathered some of them.
In particular, a student of the foreign philology faculty Olga Hatner told what to expect from an unusual exhibition: "We offer interesting, in my opinion, celebration: combining business with pleasure. We will hold a charity auction, where inhabitants of Uzhgorod and visitors will be able to sell things they no longer need."
This year’s mayor of the Student Republic, the chairman of the Student Council of UzhNU, a student of the Faculty of Physics Ivan Hrab says that our students will be involved in almost all activities: "In addition, since UzhNU is in Uzhgorod, we will be cleaning up the city. Also, we will be collecting waste paper."
In addition, during the celebration, a giant four meters long cake will be presented. The confectionery product may be registered in the Book of Records of Ukraine.
So do not miss the birthday of the Silver Land capital, which is celebrated on the last Saturday of September.
