Uzhgorod is the cycling capital! (PLAN)

In Uzhgorod, cycling activists and the City Council are working on the draft infrastructure plan. This was reported by Vita Munchak, cycling movement activist on her page in facebook.

"Uzhgorod is the cycling capital! During the summer, the City Council and the city cycling community were collaborating. An obvious step in this tandem was the development and project planning of the cycling infrastructure in our city. We present to you a joint project and invite to contribute to its implementation. The work on all bicycle tracks and bicycle lanes is scheduled for 2015. We welcome constructive comments" – Vita wrote.

Meanwhile, Uzhgorod City Council reported that 10 bicycle tracks will be built in Uzhgorod next year.

"The money for the construction of bicycle tracks will be specifically provided in the budget – it guarantees their construction. Suggestions for 2015 – Mynaiska, Kapushanska, Lehotsky, Babyak, 8 Bereznya, Vozyednannya streets, Slovyanska embankment and the track from "Ukraina" to "Ocean". Also, there will be the construction of a road on  Bohomolets street and the project will include a bike track on this street. Now we are discussing with the cycling movement activists the final list and in December I will submit this project to the session." – the Acting Mayor Victor Shchadey said.
