Uzhgorod is still buried in garbage (PHOTOS)

Despite the warning signs and the threat of fines, garbage is being spread in the city with a bang.

No containers or additional adapted trash bins have appeared in Uzhgorod. 

Some people do use "AVE" containers or rare trash bins at certain locations of the city. 

But there are also those who do not carry waste to a destination and throw it away in the middle of the street, on sidewalk, or just in the grass. 

The Uzh bamks, partially parks and embankments are buried in debris. And they also throw everything from small butts, napkins or wrappers to huge packages with various wastes.

Signs (printed on ordinary printers and attached to trees and poles with tape), video surveillance, threats of fines do not help.

Skeptics note: and never will – such is the mentality we have.

A large number of billboards with slogans: "Do not litter" is not a panacea either. The amount of trash containers in the city now is as low as ever. And all good initiatives die in infancy.

What shall we do and where are we going? – These are questions that should be answered clearly by local authorities.
