This weekend, "Memorial de Martinengo-2016" – the round of World Cup among juniors – took place in Bratislava. There were two representatives of Transcarpathia in the national team of Ukraine – Artem Matevosov and Vladislav Kovalenko.
In the individual competition. our athletes, unfortunately, did not achieve high results: Artem became the 64th and Vladislav – 96th (overall results are HERE).
Today, Artem Matevosov was defending the yellow and blue colors in the mixed team competition.
Ukrainian juniors managed to win the bronze medals! First, they defeated Poles – 36:35, but in the semi-final, they lost to Hungarians – 39:37. In the "bronze" final, Ukrainian fencers defeated Russians – 40:38! (the schedule of the competition is HERE, the overall results can be found HERE)
