An Uzhgorod resident on his way home sat on a bench near the local bus station. There, a citizen unfamiliar to him sat next to him and started a conversation. 15 minutes later the conversation was interrupted, because the stranger grabbed a gold chain around the neck of the victim and tried to rip it off. The man resisted and tried to hold the chain, but the robber tore off part of the chain and fled.

Uzhgorod detectives took all necessary measures: reviewed and examined records of the video cameras that were installed near the site, taking into account the detailed testimonies of the victim made a sketch of the suspect and later identified and arrested the attacker. It was a 25-year-old resident of Uzhgorod, previously convicted for committing a robbery. Then it was only probation, but now he will be imprisoned for real.

The victim is grateful to officers of the criminal police for prompt and effective work, because the offender could have caused him damage in the amount of nearly 10,000 UAH. And in addition to the material, it would have been a significant moral damage because this jewelry was given him by a close person.
