The deputies of Uzhgorod City Council appealed to the Mayor of Uzhgorod with the request to abolish parental contributions to school funds, the 0312.ua informed. They noted that the activities of school "funds" is illegal. Specifically, deputy Serhiy Vartsaba notes that parental contribution are not taxed, it is impossible to monitor their use. Therefore, parental contributions in the form of sponsorship require improvement and transparency.
The deputies suggest Uzhgorod Mayor Bogdan Andriyiv to sign the decree, according to which school teachers and principals will be forbidden to collect money from parents for the maintenance of schools.
