Uzhgorod city council ranked 4th among 24 city councils of regional centers of Ukraine according to the monitoring of access to public information through publication on the official site of the city council.
The monitoring was conducted from May to September 2017 by the Center for Political Studies and Analysts "Eidos" in cooperation with the Secretariat of the Ombudsman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, which has the function of monitoring the observance of the "right to know". The purpose of the research was to analyze the content of official sites to determine the quantitative and qualitative characteristics of the current level of transparency in accordance with the requirements of the legislation on disclosure of information on the activities of government bodies.
In general, based on the comprehensive assessment of the completeness, navigation accessibility and accessibility of formats, the site of the Uzhgorod City Council received 304 points, which is above the average for all monitored city councils – 267 points.
The level of navigational accessibility of the Uzhgorod City Council site is 80% with an average of 74%. The report states that the site is user-friendly, the structure allows you to find most of the information in 3 clicks.
The accessibility of formats is 87%, most of the information is provided in an accessible hypertext format that allows you to view the information in the browser window, and some information is available only after download.
