Oleksiy Kasperov – the Director of the Municipal Economy Dpartment and a "hanchman" of the Pogorelovs family, who is known in Uzhgorod for infamous privatization of the "Crown", was fired from the City Council.
This was announced by the Acting Mayor of Uzhgorod Victor Shchadey. Apparently, the city government takes a lot of "fresh blood." Because, as Victor said, in addition to the director of this department, the heads of the Department of Health, Transport Department, Municipal Police, the Department of Commerce were also dismissed.
As for Kasperov, when asked whether city government would initiate the investigation into his activities, Shchadey said that, fortunately, there was no need to do it. Because, the prosecutors and police have finally started working, and police services themselves are initiating checks, especially concerning the legality of property desicions in Uzhgorod city council.
