Uzhgorod athlete became the champion of Ukraine in snowboarding and goes to the Olympics!

Annamari Dancha-Chundak won gold medal at the Snowboarding Championship of Ukraine.

"The best snowboarder of the country – Annamari Dancha from Uzhgorod – confirmed her title and became the champion of Ukraine in 2018 on the ski slopes of the SC "Bukovytsya", where the championship of Ukraine among adults was held on February 5-6.

Currently, the competitions among juniors are continuing, and Transcarpathians have chance to win more medals" – the "Zakarpattya sportyvne" informs.

By the way, another Transcarpathian athlete – ex-Olympian Yosyp Peniak – won bronze medal in his category.

Annamari, who, of course, belongs to the cohort of the best Transcarpathian athlete (and is in the Uzhgorod.in’s "Our Champions" rating), as well as an Alpine skier from Yasinya Ivan Kovbasnyuk will represent Uzhgorod and Transcarpathia at the Olympics, that’s about to begin in South Korea.
