At about 1 am, on April 12th, that is, from Wednesday to Thursday, two "Molotov cocktails" were thrown into the premises of the Japanese restaurant TENSHI, located in the regional center of Transcarpathia at Mynaiska st., 16, – the Zakarpattya online reported.
According to the Zakarpattya online, the restaurant did not burn down only because there was a guard inside the premises, who put out the fire.
According to preliminary information, the co-owners of the restaurant TENSHI are two residents of Mukachevo, one of whom is a relative of a judge of the Mukachevo City and District Court.
The information about the incident was confirmed to the Zakarpattya online by the spokeswoman of the Main Office of the National Police in Transcarpathian region Tetyana Shchogoleva.
According to her, the police opened a criminal proceeding under Part 2 of Article 194 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – intentional destruction of or damage to property "committed by means of fire, explosion or other dangerous method, or that caused property damage in particularly large amount, or that caused death of people or other grave consequences".
If the offenders are found, they face imprisonment for a term of three to fifteen years.
