Ukrzaliznytsya has opened sales of tickets for all passenger trains departing in the pariod starting from December 9, 2018. Currently, passengers can buy tickets for all trains with date of departure until December 20, 2018 inclusive. The sale of tickets for trains departing after December 20 will be opened until December 5, 2018. Tickets will be available through the Ukrzaliznytsya online service and at the railway ticket offices.
Also, the Ukrzaliznytsya in the near future will announce the launch of additional trains for New Year’s and Christmas holidays. This year, it is planned to launch about 30 pairs of such trains. Mostly they will be goign to the winter resorts of Ukraine, in particular, to Ivano-Frankivsk, Uzhgorod, Lviv, and Chernivtsi. Sale of tickets for additional trains will be open after all seats in regular trains are sold out.
Recall that on December 9, 2018, a new timetable of passenger trains for 2018/2019 will be put into effect.
