The volume of purchased foreign currency by population increased by 40% – to 740.6 million dollars in June.
The negative balance of purchase and sale of existing foreign currency by population in last June in comparison with May this year, increased by 40% – to 740.6 million, was informed on a site of the National Bank of Ukraine.
According to the information provided, the banks purchased 1.122 billion dollars and sold – 1.863 billion dollars.
The negative balance of the existing market in January this year was at the level of 556.5 million dollars, in February – 372.7 million dollars, in March – 544.1, in April – 209 million dollars and in May – 526.8 million dollars.
According to the Bank, the bank deposits of individuals in the currency (in the dollar equivalent) increased by 354.1 million dollars in June and as for July 1, 2012 it’s amount is 19.592 billion dollars.
