On Monday, May 20, a unique concert of Ukrainian Baroque music will take place in the Uzhgorod Yosyp Bokshay Museum.
"Posoka" trio plays authentic music by little-known authors on reconstructed medieval instruments. Danylo Pertsev is in a sense a musical archaeologist who searches for musical works and recreates their sound. Baroque era is a period of a rapid development of Ukrainian culture. To know the art of that period is to understand and feel the foundations, the core of our national culture. We have opportunity to admire Baroque architecture, read Baroque poetry, but with music it’s more difficult, to recreate the authentic sound is a task that requires a lot of knowledge and skill. With the band "Posoka" you will be able to hear Baroque music as it was known and loved by Ukrainians in the 17th and 18th centuries.
