The funds in support of organizations presenting Ukrainians abroad will be stipulated in the Budget of Ukraine in 2012 for the first time. The Prime Minister Mykola Azarov announced it to UNIAN after the meeting with the Russian President Volodymyr Putin and Russian Prime Minister Dmytro Medvediev.
The Ukrainian Prime Minister also said, that the Ukrainian Diaspora support will continue. In particular, Mykola Azarov is going to meet with the Diaspora representatives in order to discuss the existing problems during the next visit to Russia.
As it is known, the Ukrainian Union in Russia was abolished and excluded from the Unified State Register of legal entities due to the Russia Supreme Court decision. This step has caused statement from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, which dealt with the prejudiced attitude against the Ukrainian Diaspora activity in Russia. In response, the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs representative Olexandr Lukashevych denied the Ukrainian organizations activities obstruction on the territory of Russia. The Russian Ministry of Justice registered the Federal national-cultural autonomy ‘Ukrainians of Russia, however, the Ukrainian Diaspora declared that the organization is created without their knowledge.
