Ukraine has increased import of gas through Slovakia by 18%

On July 10, Ukraine increased import of gas through Slovakia by 18% compared to the previous day.

This was told to the "Ekonomichna Pravda" by the spokesperson of the "Ukrtransgaz" Maxim Bilyavsky.

"Compared with the previous day, the nomination and actual supply of natural gas from Slovakia has increased by 18% from 13.6 to 16.5 million cubic meters per day," – he said.

In addition, the press service of the "Ukrtransgaz" reminded that currently natural gas for the needs of Ukrainian consumers is being imported only through the Slovak gas transit corridor.

As previously reported, operators of gas transport systems of Ukraine and Slovakia found a technical solution to expand Slovak gas corridor to Ukraine from December 1, 2015.

As you know, on March 1, Slovakia increased reverse gas supplies to Ukraine.
