Ukraine and Hungary border guards prevented smuggling of 36 boxes of cigarettes

Yesterday, officers of the State Border Guard Service and the Border Police of Hungary in the course of joint measures to combat illegal activity on the state border detained 36 boxes of cigarettes.

In particular, as a result of operative information interchange, border guards of the Mukachevo detachment found 20 packages of tobacco products. The cigarettes were 250 meters from the border. They also detained two persons who are likely involved in the illegal movement of the said goods across the border. In turn, the Hungarian border guards, at a distance of 150 meters from the border, found 16 more boxes of contraband tobacco products that offenders were trying to move deep into neighboring territory.
