Two Transcarpathians were rescued during a fire in a high-rise

In the morning, the operational rescue service of Mukachevo received a report of a fire on D.Donsky street.  A two-bedroom apartment on the third floor of a five-storey residential building was burning.

Fire crews of the 17th, 18th and 19th State Fire and Rescue Units were sent at the scene. In total, 10 personnel members and four vehicles were engaged.

Upon arrival at the scene, using a sliding ladder, rescuers got to the balcony of the burning building and went inside. Because of the strong smoke, they had to work in respiratory protection devices.

During the examination of the scene, firefighters found in the apartment the owner and his daughter who were immediately taken out. They refused from medical assistance.

 The material damage is being established, as the fire damaged a carpet and a sofa and blackened the walls and the ceiling of the appartment.

Law enforcement authorities are establishing the cause of the fire.
