Two citizens of Ukraine were trying to carry to Romania two thousand packs of cigarettes. They were arrested yesterday around midnight by Mukachevo border guards. The men, who tried to run away from police officers, are local residents, but they had no documents. Reports on administrative violations were drawn up against the detained men, residents of the village of Dilove. Tobacco products will be dlivered to the customs office. It is also interesting that at the checkpoint Dyakove, border guards found 153 packs of cigarettes hidden in structural cavities of a car Audi. As a result, both the car and cigarettes were confiscated from the driver, a citizen of Romania, and the total value of confiscated items reached almost 265,000 UAH.
Also, almost 3,000 packs of cigarettes were found by border guards of Chernivtsi detachment near the Ukrainian-Romanian border. Six packages of cigarettes were hidden near the state border. Unknown persons had, probably, prepared the goods for transportation across the border.
