Two German women will return home without cars (PHOTOS)

Border guards and customs officials in the international checkpoint "Uzhgorod" prevented illegal import of two expensive cars into Ukraine.

Two Japanese cars – HONDA CR-V (2012) and TOYOTA RAV4 (2010) one after another arrived from Slovakia at the crossing point "Uzhgorod" for the border and customs control. The cars were registered in Germany.  They were driven by two 35-year-old German women.

During the control procedure, customs officers identified a number of factors that caused them to begin a full identification of the vehicles.

After scrutiny of the documents for the cars, all numbered units and duplicating markings of the vehicles, the inspectors found out that both cars were transported across the border illegally.

 The customs officers detected a number of mechanical changes in the numerical markings of the vehicles.

As a result of the above activities, the cars were seized, their value is currently being established.
