Two accidents involving buses happened in Transcarpathia – in both there are victims

Four victims of one traffic accident received injuries of varying severity. In another accident, a female pedestrian died.

Today, November 5, about 8.20, in the village of Kolchyno, Mukachevo district, the driver of a bus "PAZ" stopped near a store on demand for embarking and disembarking passengers without leaving the roadway. At that time, the driver of a bus "BAS" "Kryte-Mukachevo", moving in the same direction, passed around the "PAZ" on the right side, while people were standing at the bus stop. One of the pedestrians saw this maneuver and managed to jump away, and four women found themselves under the wheels of the bus. The driver, having run over people, drove for about 150 meters more and only then stopped. The 58-year-old driver of the "BAS" explains that the the brake pedal in the bus would not work, and there was a car on the oncoming lane, which is why he drove the vehicle into the crowd. The police will establish the real cause of the accident.  

The victims in the road accident received injuries of varying severity. Two women after provision of medical assistance were released home.

Another accident involving a bus "PAZ" occurred about 8 o’clock in the morning in the regional center.On Svoboda Avenue, a female pedestrian unexpectedly ran onto the roadway outside a pedestrian crossing and tried to cross four lanes of traffic, resulting in her being hit by the bus. The woman was taken to the hospital but soon she died from the injuries.

The vehicle was delivered to the impound lot. Further investigation continues – the Traffic Police Office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in Transcarpathian region reported.
