The introduction of long-awaited visa-free regime now opens an opportunity of free travel. Now, preparing for travels, Ukrainian citizens can plan them spontaneously, going just for a weekend, or at various exhibitions, festivals, football matches, or to visit friends and relatives.
On the night of 10 to 11 of June, citizens of Ukraine began crossing the border under the visa-free regime with European countries. As previously reported, nearly 600 Ukrainians, who have biometric passports, have crossed the border with the EU.
Recall that visa-free regime allows citizens of Ukraine to stay in the EU up to 90 days during any 180 day period.
Also note the rules of border crossing by underage citizens of Ukraine. In particular, children aged 16 years and older may travel to Europe without visas on their own, children under 16 years may leave Ukraine only if they are accompanied by both parents or one parent or an authorized person, having a notarized consent. Also remember that if one parent lives abroad, the consent shall be certified at consular offices of the MFA of Ukraine.
All details and rules of border crossing can be found on the site of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine. Also, before you travelling, be sure to learn about the conditions that are in force on the border of the country you are going to visit.
