In the Transcarpathian region, nearly 12.5 thousand such keys have been issued since the beginning of the year: 2364 – to legal entities, and 10124 – to individuals.
Starting November 1, 2013, Public Key Certificates from the Ministry of Income are formed for two years.
The Certification Authority, which operates under the Ministry, received such opportunity after passing the accreditation procedure.
According to the experts of the Ministry, this innovation not only saves taxpayers time to buy keys, but also contributes to their involvement in the active use of information and communication technologies.
The Ministry also noted that currently they are discussing the project under which the validity period of an electronic key for individuals will increase to 3 years. These changes were suggested by experts of the Ministry in the draft resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on the procedure of accreditation of certification authority. In addition, the duration of the accredited center certificate can be prolonged up to 6 years.
