Over the past week, 5,446 people in the region sought medical advice about the signs of acute respiratory infection, the incidence is 432 per 100 thousand people, which is 1.3% above the set epidemic threshold.
Compared with the previous week, the number of cases decreased by 52% (1856 cases). Among the people, who called for medical help, 3,590 are children under the age of 17 (60% of all patients) and 2,169 are adults (40%). Highest rates of incidence are among children aged 5-14 years and 15-17 years (51% and 15% respectively). Children in Beregovo, Irshava, and Rakhiv districts account for 70% of the patients.
Last week, 283 people were hospitalized for respiratory infections (5% of the patients). Rapid tests confirmed the diagnosis of A flu in 18 patients, including 11 children and 7 adults (13 in the city of Uzhgorod, 5 in Uzhgorod district). Epidemic thresholds are exceeded in Volovets, Mizhhirya, Uzhgorod, Mukachevo and Rakhiv districts and in the city of Uzhgorod.
On January 28, schools were closed in the city of Uzhgorod, Mizhhirya district, educational institutions of the Uzhgorod district education department (except for Chop and Baranyntsi), some educational institutions of Volovets district. In the schools of Tyachiv and Khust districts (except for the city Khust), the holiday period was continued until February 4.
