Transcarpathians’ debts for gas have grown by UAH 56.8 million

Since the beginning of the year, Transcarpathians’ debts for the consumed natural gas have increased by UAH 56.8 million

Since the beginning of 2015, debts of Transcarpathian region residents for natural gas have increased more than 1.4 times compared to the last year and, as of September 1, 2015, amounts to UAH 187.3 million. Meanwhile, debts of household consumers in the region for the same period in the last year was UAH 74.8 million.

Problems with timely payments by consumers have significantly increased after a significant increase in price for natural gas since April 1. The most difficult situation with payments is for those consumers who use gas to heat their homes.

"Traditionally, in spring and summer, with a reduction of gas consumption, our customers always tried to pay for the consumed natural gas used in winter, thus reducing the size of the total debt – the director of the "ZAKARPATHAZ ZBUT" Victoria Tomynets says – But because of the significant rise in the cost of gas almost 6 times, a considerable number of customers are unable to pay for gas. We once again appeal to consumers not to delay, and turn to the social welfare authorities for subsidies. Especially since the procedure for obtaining has been greatly simplified, as we informed our consumers through the media, the corporate website of the "Zakarpathaz" PJSC and payment documents. At the same time, we provide a list of addresses and contact telephone numbers of social welfare services, whereby our consumers can learn about the algorithm of obtaining subsidies and benefits for utilities."
