Transcarpathians collected seven liters of blood for the ATO participants in a few hours

On the first day, about three dozen donors took part in the campaign and donated 6 liters 785 ml of blood for wounded soldiers of the ATO. 

"Donors from all over the region come to us every day. However, there are blood transfusion stations in every district hospital except Perechyn, Velyky Berezny and Volovets. By the way, we can not even get there because there is no money for gasoline. In general, we actively support these movements, as the production of 100 ml of the drug "Albumin", administered to wounded people to maintain the level of protein in the body after large blood loss, takes more than two liters of blood, which is 5-6 donors. But we need more donors therefore we urge people to take part in such campaigns", – the head of the donor department of the Transcarpathian Regional blood transfusion station Maria Fantych says.

Doctors say they also need the reserve of blood to sent to those institutions where there is not enough of it. In Uzhgorod, many soldiers are being treated, so most of the blood is used in local hospitals.
