The Chairman of the Transcarpathian Regional Council Volodymyr Chubirko held a meeting with chairmen of district and city councils, during which, among other things, they discussed the "building amnesty", which is introduced in the country.
According to the order adopted by the Ministry of Regional Development, Construction and Housing, citizens are entitled to register the title to the property built from 1992 to 2011 without a permit for construction work, free of charge. Citizens will not have to pay any penalties for unauthorized construction.
Such property will be registered by bodies of state architectural and construction control until December 31, 2015. The relevant decision must be adopted within 10 working days from the date of application by owners of the land where the construction projects are situated, following the technical inspection.
Technical inspection of individual houses in area of up to 300 square meters will take place under the simplified procedure during the technical inventory by only one certified inventory technician, which will make a corresponding entry in the data sheet.
