Transcarpathian youth are invited to study promising areas of forest industry

On Wednesday, April 8, at 11.00, in Uzhgorod Press Club, there will be a press conference, the main theme of which will be training of specialists in woodworking, furniture production and forestry and approaches offered by the National Forestry University of Ukraine. While forestry is one of the main industries in Transcarpathia, enterprises lack skilled workers with higher education degree. 

The participants of the press conference will tell what universities, the regional administration and the enterprises themselves do to attract future professionals, jobs for forestry university graduates and so on:

– Oleksiy Prystaya, the rector of the National Forestry University of Ukraine (NFUU);

– Mykhailo Lypchey, the Head of the Forestry and Hunting Husbandry Department in Transcarpathian region;

– Lesya Maslyanyk, the director of the Uzhgorod branch of the ENO Furniture Ltd;

– Vasyl Pryhara, the director of Housing and communal services, construction and infrastructure department of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration.

They will also discuss innovations for this year’s entrants – trips to regional specialized companies and tripartite agreements for training of specialists berween entrants, employers and the university.
