Until recently, the name of Arkady Shinshinov, who comes from the village of Dragovo in Khust district, was not known to Transcarpathian writers and readers. However, he had a lot of fans in Facebook. But now, Arkady can boast the first book with the original title "Green Kraken Bar", which was recently presented at the publishing house "Grazhda" in Uzhgorod. 300 copies of the book were brought an hour before the event. The book was published by the publishing house "Grazhda". Why? Because, literary critic Natalia Rebrik said, when she started reading the manuscript she could not stop until she finished it.
The events take place on the outskirts of Prague, where Arkady lived for over 25 years. The author is a multifaceted person, and had many hobbies – archeology, biology, petanque. Now, he works in IT technologies, lives in his native Dragovo, has a daughter in Prague. And there really was a cafe with this name on the outskirts of Prague. Now it is not there, Arkady says, only the sign remained, because Italian and American investors demolished the neighbourhood, and now there is just concrete there.
Incidentally, during presentation, the premises of "Grazhda" became a sort of a bar with beer, cheese and sausages. They even arranged the ceremonial "consecration" of the new book (pictured). At the end, they revealed the secret – Arkady Shinshinov’s new book "10 thousand kilometers of Prague" will be published soon.
