The main issue of the event was the discussion points arising during the transportation of humanitarian aid and goods for the military participating in the ATO across the border Ukraine, and the recent changes in the law relating to taxation of charitable aid.
Explaining the current issues of the law relating to the taxation of charitable aid, officers of the Main Office of the Ministry of Income in the region stressed on the importance of compliance with the legislation regarding the registration of the said activities in order to take advantage of the preferential taxation and the compulsory registration of citizens engaged in charity work in the Register of the ATO volunteers.
Also Transcarpathian volunteers were interested in details of charitable assistance provision by entities and proper paperwork that accompany such procedures.
It should be noted that the Law of Ukraine № 1668-VII dd. September 2, 2014, "On amendments to the Tax Code of Ukraine regarding certain issues of taxation of charitable assistance", which came into force on September 26, 2014, applies to legal relations arising on and after November 21, 2013.
In turn, employees of the Chop Customs Office informed volunteers that during the customs clearance of special personal protective equipment and medicines, among other shipping documents, they should present the customs authorities an application of military units, ministries and agencies, volunteer organizations duly registered with the relevant government authorities, etc.
In conclusion, Oleksiy Petrichenko, the Head of the Main Office of the State Fiscal Service in Transcarpathian region, said that the fiscal body of the region was ready for the dialogue with volunteers for the rapid solution of problems, therefore their explanation and practice of holding such meetings would continue.
